Author Guidelines

This site is used only for the BAM 2026 workshop “Peer Review as a Dialogue: Transforming Critique into Contribution”. It is a workshop submission and feedback space, not a journal submission site, and no publication decision is attached to submissions made here.

Participants are invited to submit an extended abstract of a working paper for developmental feedback as part of the workshop process. The extended abstract should be no longer than 1,500 words (excluding references) and should provide enough detail for reviewers and mentors to engage constructively with the paper’s core idea, framing, approach, and intended contribution.

A suitable extended abstract will normally include:

  • a working title
  • the central research question or problem
  • the motivation and relevance of the study
  • the main theoretical or literature framing
  • the methodological approach or research design
  • current or expected findings, where relevant
  • the intended contribution
  • references

After the initial submission stage, each participant will be asked to prepare a short developmental review of another participant’s abstract. Following receipt of feedback, participants will then be invited to submit a revised version together with a brief response or revision plan ahead of the in-person workshop.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting, please confirm that:

  • I am submitting this material for the BAM 2026 Peer Review as a Dialogue workshop.
  • I understand that this site is used for workshop purposes only and is not a journal submission portal.
  • My submission is an extended abstract of a working paper intended for developmental feedback.
  • My extended abstract is no more than 1,500 words excluding references.
  • My submission contains a clear title and sufficient information on the paper’s question, framing, approach, and intended contribution.
  • I understand that my submission will be shared with reviewers within the workshop process.
  • I understand that I will also be expected to provide a short developmental review of another participant’s submission.
  • I agree to treat all workshop submissions, reviews, and related materials as confidential.
  • I understand that, after feedback, I may be asked to submit a revised version and a short response or revision plan.
  • I understand that submission here does not imply journal review, acceptance, or publication.
